That’s right we Lifted a MAVERICK!

The Maverick received a 2″ Spacer Lift Kit From FordRangerLifts.com
This Kit utilizes a 2″ Strut Spacer made from a 1/4″ laser Cut Steel Plate. Integrated with 8.8 weather-resistant hardware, and stainless steel flange nuts for the Front. The Rear Lift is a 1 1/4″ steel metal coil spacer combined with a 1″ subframe drop spacer, and trailing arm spacers to maintain that perfect factory geometry. FordRangerLifts.com works with Steel-It™ to coat all of their products with polyurethane and add a layer of protective coating. All of these parts are made here in the USA.

Ford Ranger Lifts has Tested Numerous Tire Sizes and has Some Recommendations:

The Trimming of the Pinch Weld on the Firewall and Minor Trimming of Plastic will be required to run anything bigger than 245/65/17 or 245/60/18

For Our Customer, we Choose 245/65/17 on some good-looking BF-Goodrich K02’s since he did not want to do any trimming to his Maverick.
He was also wanting Black Steel Wheels to go with the setup, We Recommended a 17×7 with a +52mm offset to fulfill his vision.

All in All the Maverick is a solid Truck that is fairly priced in the world of Trucks. This is a great entry-level Truck & an even better entry-level lift kit.

2020 Ford Ranger Gets BDS 2″ Leveling Kit! 

We upgraded a 2020 Ford Ranger with a 2″ leveling kit from BDS Suspensions paired with Fox 2.0 Series Shock Absorbers and BDS intrusions beams. 

 

Fox 2.0 Series Shock Absorbers

 

BDS Suspensions offer heavy-duty upper control arms (UCA) designed for improved strength, great looks, and increased suspension droop travel. (Droop is the difference between the car’s natural ride height and its maximum ride height when the wheels just lose contact with the ground). The control arms are ready to install straight out of the box and are eager to improve wheel travel. This kit is composed of 1.5″ OD x.120-wall tubing that’s fully welded for strength and durability. When used with leveling kits, they use an indexed ball joint cup to rectify ball joint placement. 

 

Intrusion Beams

Because the customer wanted newer tires that were larger and wider, new intrusion bars were necessary for the upgrade. New bars will allow full steer clearance and avoid rubbing from the tire. In addition. The intrusion beams have an OE tube appearance with plugs to keep dirt and debris out of the factory mounts.

A malfunctioning ball joint or control arm bushing might show itself in a variety of ways. When you turn the steering wheel, you may hear a clicking, popping, or cracking sound, which will gradually transform into a squeaking sound at the conclusion of a stop, when you use the gas pedal, and/or when you turn the steering wheel.

Core 4x4 Control Arm

Excessively worn ball joints, bushings, or a combination of these can cause a shift in the vehicle’s steering alignment, causing the steering to pull to the left or right when driving. To keep the vehicle straight, the driver will have to make regular corrections. Be sure to get this checked right away to avoid further damage to your vehicle.

Core 4x4

The track bars are the only item that keeps your axles from shifting side to side in a coil spring suspension. Your Jeep will track straight down the road if all axles are in proper alignment. The duty of the track bar is to control left and right movement, the first thing you should look for if you’ve experienced the infamous “death wobble” is loose track bar bolts (axle moving violently from left to right).
